Full-Color Storyboard Process

Process sample for developing a fully rendered storyboard panel. Panels belong to my original series, Erinys & The Seer.

1. Gesture - attempt to understand the figure
2. Blocking - develop the scene, object placement, and tone
3. Rough - sketch full scene shape and rough idea for details
4. Lines - convert rough sketch to clean linework
5. Base - identify base coloring (washed colors selected to maintain "ominous" tone down the line)
6. Ambience - first layer of glow or light effects
7. Hard Shadows - add hard shadows; tune contrast
8. Finalize - add color filters and layer light to mimic natural glows; unify the image with gradient/layer overlaying and correction layers. Add dialogue if needed.
